While the commercialization of high-efficiency LED technology has revolutionized lighting brightness and energy efficiency, the intense directionality of LED light has concurrently introduced the problem of uncomfortable glare. Furthermore, unlike traditional incandescent bulbs—where subtle fluctuations in driving current were absorbed and buffered by residual thermal heat—LEDs possess a rapid response time. This inherent structural vulnerability means any waveform irregularity in the electrical current is instantly manifested as visible or invisible light flicker. This phenomenon becomes particularly pronounced during the dimming process, where unseen high-frequency flicker frequently occurs at lower brightness levels, often leading to visual fatigue and headaches for the user.
BAENUE sought to fundamentally resolve these technical challenges of the high-efficiency LED era. We have achieved a glare-free, pleasant illumination through a meticulously engineered optical structure that prevents the light source from being directly exposed to the eye. Simultaneously, by stably regulating the driving current down to the subtlest low levels (Deep Dimming), we have minimized light flicker at its root.
Consequently, BAENUE’s light source remains glare-free at maximum illumination, while exceeding the most stringent requirements of the latest European flicker standards even at its lowest dimming levels.
