For more than a hundred years following the commercialization of the first light bulb, human interaction was confined to a "0-dimensional On/Off switch" (Figure ⓐ), with the occasional use of a "1-dimensional dimming switch" (Figure ⓑ) to alter the single parameter of brightness.
In the modern era, however, the addition of color temperature control has introduced users to a "2-dimensional control environment" (Figure ⓒ), requiring them to navigate two separate variables of brightness and color temperature simultaneously.
However, BAENUE was convinced that the maximum level of complexity a user can intuitively process in daily life is a single dimension. Manipulating two distinct variables independently only introduces unnecessary complexity to everyday routines. Through Dim2Amber™, users can adjust illumination using the simplest, most intuitive dial operation. Throughout this process, the light’s spectrum and color dynamically optimize and adapt on their own, perfectly aligning with the body’s natural rhythm.
